An assortment of guitars, brass instruments, cymbals along with pictures and memorabilia of famous jazz performers embellish this New Orleans-style blues bar. A firm favourite with expatriates and locals ever since it opened doors in 1987, it is one of the city’s best live performance spaces serving up a healthy diet of jazz, roots, reggae, ska and blues. Check their website for the daily roster of musicians and bands performing, but keep in mind that T-Bone take the stage on Friday night. Having performed with performed with top acts like INXS, UB40, Tokyo Ska Paradise, Skatalites, Skacubano, Little Roy, Winston Francis , Prince Fatty and The Beat, their two-hour set that switches seamlessly from samba to ska and soul is not to be missed. With friendly staff serving up the usual range of alcoholic beverages and a great mix of Western and Thai dishes, it’s a great hangout for a group of friends.
