Spread over four acres in a shady grove along the hills to the west of central Hua Hin, this rabbit’s warren of studio spaces and galleries is the seaside town’s original arts centre. It’s the spot that artist Tawee Kesa-ngam picked in 1989, when he decided to exchange the fast-paced lifestyle of Bangkok for something a little more relaxed.

Today this artist’s collective is also the base for the Hua Hin Artists’ Group and frequently hosts special exhibitions and performance events.

Classes in craft, drawing, and oil and watercolours, are designed to keep children busy while you browse the shaded pavilions, chatting with the artists on hand. Choose from etchings of serene Buddhas on wood, inspirational landscapes and portraits in an array of mediums, metal sculptures of Reubenesque women, and terracotta figurines.

Take home a really unique piece of art: photographic images of Hua and its surroundings printed on non-conventional materials like metal and wood. Weekends also feature a jazz band in the café.
