The charming Fisherman’s Village is home to elegant and well-preserved wooden Chinese shop-houses that have been transformed into cool cafes, restaurants, shops and guesthouses. Come Friday night and street vendors converge on the tiny lanes hawking everything from cocktails to souvenirs. Mobile bars at intervals peddling beer and tasty tropical concoctions allow one to re-fuel on the go. There’s plenty to eat too, from food on a stick to spring rolls, fried chicken, kebabs and even one-dish meals cook ala minute. But it’s not all about food and drink here.
