Kayaking with Krabi Caveman in Krabi

Few visitors are aware that Krabi is home to some of the best prehistoric cave art in the Kingdom. There are 10 sites in the region and the best way to see them is to book a tour with Krabi Caveman, one of the top kayaking operators here. Their full day tour starts off at the fishing village of Ban Bor-Thor, paddling along the mangrove forests, and then through a dark tunnel to Tham Lod Tai, a massive sea grotto with its striking array of stalactites and stalagmites. The next cave is the Tham Phi Hua-Toh (Big-Headed Ghost cave), which has 238 examples of cave art depicting human figures, bird, crocodiles, shamans, buffaloes, and fish. After a delicious lunch, the tour continues to the spectacular Tham Khao Wong, or Garden of End, an inner lagoon surrounded by limestone karsts.

The next is ‘Tham Lod Nua, or Anaconda cave so called because the tunnel to it is like going though the stomach of a snake. On the way a stop is made for refreshments and a dip at a beautiful swimming hole. Included is transfers, lunch, refreshments, equipment, waterproof bag, guide, admission fees and travel insurance. Families, a group of friends, or couples will enjoy this trip.
