La Ferme Restaurant in Pattaya

On the outside it is in the style of the European grand cafes, but past the door you feel you fallen down the rabbit hole in Alice in Wonderland. A chequered floor offsets dark brown furniture, and from the ceiling hangs a chandelier fashioned out of whisky decanters with the bottoms cut off. An immense striped sofa dominates one end, while the other has a giant mosaic over the bar.

The website says its a bar, restaurant, bistro, café and snackerie and it is a bit of all serving a mix of French, Belgian and Asian food. The star here is the rotisserie chicken, moist within and crispy outside, that is served on a wooden platter with fries. The delicious mussels in garlic and cream are another must try too. From the Asian section the spicy khao soi, a Burmese curry with egg noodles, is the standout. But for something truly decadent, look no further than the Wagyu beef and cheese burger.

The wines are sourced from Australia, Argentina France, Italy and New Zealand, but there is an excellent selection of Belgian beers.
