Spread over 1,500 acres of green countryside close to the Mabprachan Reservoir, the Horseshoe Point International Riding School is billed as one of the best horse riding facilities in Southeast Asia. It is certified by the Thailand Equestrian Federation (TEF) and affiliated to the Centro Equestre da Leziria Grande (Portugal) of Maestro Luis Valença Rodrigues, a top instructor in the Art of Classical Riding.
The extensive facilities include five outdoor and indoor arenas, stables, a tack shop and more than 100 horses of different breeds including Lusitano, Appaloosa, Lipizzaner, Arabs, Warmbloods, Falabella, and the Thai pony. It’s a great place for groups, families and couples as it offers everything from a 15-minute pleasure ride for kids on a pony to a two-hour trail ride designed for experienced riders. Classes are also available for all levels. Riding master Chaikiri Srifuengfung, who was trained in Portugal by the late Maestro Nuno Oliveira (considered the greatest master in the art of Classical Riding in this century) offers instruction in this art form making it the only riding school in the region to offer instruction in the “Art of Classical Riding” for advanced riders; dressage, and show jumping lessons can be had up to the elementary level. Shows and competitions are held here regularly too, so do check their website for upcoming events.
